HOORAY! someone else that knows that air gets thicker (heavier) as the conditions change, I've been telling people all summer about this and no one's believed me.

You should see what happens to air density when we experience chocolate rain. Yeah, it's simple physics. When air contains more water vapor, it is more dense. When it is more dense, it offers up more resistance. Sure, 100% humidity alone isn't going to cut your speed in half, but over a long haul it could make a dent. But when it rains chocolate...watch out.
