I just got back from a smokin show at Utica's Stanley Theatre featuring trumpeteer Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra.  These guys can really play.  If you're into dense New Orleans style jazz, then this band will be a treat for you.

I had the fortune of seeing Irvin Play a few winters ago when his band Los Hombres Calientes came to the MWPAI for their Concerts In The Court series.  Except that night their Pianist got delayed in D.C. from the crazy winter storm that day, and didn't make it to the show.  So world-class trumpeteer Irvin showed us his world-class piano chops that night.

I always love going to the Stanley to see a show.  It's such a grand venue that going to see any event in that beautiful theatre is a special treat.  It really does feel like a night out on the town.
