I just learned that in the original edit of the stop-motion Rudolph Xmas special from 1964, Santa did NOT stop at the Island of Misfit Toys to pick them up. How wrong is THAT?! Apparently public outcry made them animate the new scene with Santa rescuing them. Phew.

It's not as shocking as Johnny Damon getting signed with the Yankees. I'm still going to root for the Yanks, but I think people are right when they say Steinbrenner is ruining the game. If Georgie was Santa, he'd trade the Island of Misfit Toys for a single, shiny, brand-new toy...then dump it next season.
