Hey john, can you like speak up? I listen at work and I have to constantly adjust the volume... too loud and Rich pierces my eardrums... too low and John is just a faint murmur. Or maybe you could record separately on the left and right channels. It would be easy for me to adjust the balance and find the perfect listening volume. I could get crazy at work on one of those boring days and shut off one of the speakers. I could make up the other side of the conversation! It would be like listening to Rubber Soul, turning the balance all the way to the left to cut off the vocals... and voila - instant karaoke party!

Actually, you CAN make up the gain difference by using your balance control since John is panned more right, and I am panned more left. I gave John a little bit more gain before the most recent show to make up for the volume difference (and it does exist). I'll address it more aggressively from now on.

Actually, Rich has been using phrases like "downsizing" and "outsourcing" a lot lately. Perhaps he is making a statement by lowering my levels?

What say you, oh Audio Man? Is there a way to boost my signal? Does anyone else want me to speak up?

hi ! i loved this show. it's so important to at least like what we do for work since it does take up a lot of our time. unfortunately, sometimes even doing what you love can get old. i used to work for a company where i loved what i did, but i did too much of it. i was working over 60 hours/week. so i would add balance to the "do what you love" equation.

great show !!!
