In our first show we mentioned that our recording 'studio' has a pumpkin-colored wall. Technically, the name of the color is 'Pumpkin Patch'. Having put no less than 4 coats of the stuff on one wall and having difficulty covering some of my daughter's early attempts at cave drawings, I decided that it was not...well...doing it for me. There are a few things in the room that are various shades of blue, and while orange and blue go together quite nicely, it never dawned on me that I was inadvertently turning the room into a Syracuse University shrine. That had to stop. The new color is a darker orange, almost like the inside of a blood orange (how appropriate). The official color name is 'New Penny'. Which leads me to asking this - what's your favorite paint color name and if anyone knows, who has the lucky job of naming these colors? Send your responses to feedback@bloodyveg.com.
